About Me
Having been around horses since the age of 10 and having my own ponies as a child, I always knew I wanted a career with them.
When I left school I did my BHS stages 1 & 2 and then worked at a couple of show jumping yards as a groom. After that I worked for 2 years at the Royal Armouries in Leeds as a groom and riding in the shows there.
After the Armouries I moved to East Yorkshire where I ran my own livery yard business for 5 years, which included buying, selling and training horses as well as competition and hunting.
During these years and to the present day I ride in jousting shows for various companies around the UK and work with horses in various film and tv work, including Dr. Who, Game of Thrones and All Creatures Great and Small.
After running the yard in Yorkshire I decided on a change and moved to West Sussex where I did a year and a half's apprenticeship with an Equine Dental Technician. Having decided that equine dentistry was what I wanted to do I went to America to train with Dr. Hyde at the American School of Equine Dentistry, I have also qualified with the BEVA and haven't looked back since.
I am committed to improving the health and welfare of horses and ponies through my work in equine dentistry whilst educating owners on the importance of this care along the way.
I take a quiet, caring and professional approach in my work to help keep the horse as calm and relaxed as possible, making sure the whole experience is not a stressful one for the horse or the owner.
